United 1-0 Marseille. Giggs and Rooney combine well on the left and the latter flashes the ball across the six-yard box for Chicharito to tap it in.
Remy finally with an accurate delivery and Cheyrou swings his right foot at the ball from the penalty spot. Smart save from Van der Sar down low.

Valencia threads it through to Giggs on the right of the area and he crosses it in to Hernandez, who sweeps the ball in from close range once more.
Remy again finds himself in space and he's won Marseille yet another corner.

United 2-1 Marseille. Scholes tries to clear his team-mate's header off the line, but it's already crossed and Marseille are back in it.
It's an 11th Champions League quarter-final for United, though they made it hard work for themselves. A poacher's brace from Chicharito sends them into the last eight. Wes Brown's own goal made the last ten minutes very interesting, but United held on and eagerly await the draw on Friday now.
