Clash of the Titans: Inter Milan battles Barcelona in the first semifinal of the Champions League

They meet for the third time this Champions League season, at it will be a tough game just like the previous ones. Barcelona was forced to travel to Italy by bus, but that is no excuse to fail at this point. Guardiola plans to use his most lethal footballers against Mourinho's side.

Inter is having some troubles at the domestic league - they just lost the pole position to AS Rome - but Wesley Sneijder, Samuel Eto'o and Diego Milito are too dangerous, and Guardiola is aware of this.

One of the most atractive facts of this game is that strikers from both sides will face their former teams: Samuel Eto'o spend many seasons at Barcelona, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the frontman of Inter for many years. All these ingredients make of this the most expected games in years.

Champions League Semifinals: Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich and Inter vs. Lyon

The epic performance of Lionel Messi against Arsenal and the revenge of Bayern Munich eliminating Manchester United were the highlights of the Champions League quarterfinals.

The Argentinian wizard scored four goals and crushed the Gunners with a stunning 4-1 (6-3 agg.). Now Barcelona will face Inter Milan in semifinals. The italians defeated CSKA by 1-0 and got the ticket with no big efforts.

Louis Van Gaal's Bayern lost to Manchester United 3-2 but the goals as visitor gave then the pass to the semis. Manchester United had a perfect start with 2 goals in the first seven minutes, but the German team proved to be a big club in history just like their rivals.

Bayern will face French powerhouse Lyon, who lost to Bordeaux but classified due to aggregate score. As we know, the final game will take place in Madrid this year.

Many stars to miss Barcelona-Arsenal clash due tu injuries and sanctions

Arsene Wenger has 7 key players out of this game. Guardiola will use a new defensive line since Pique and Puyol were red carded.

Barcelona and Arsenal will battle for a place in the semifinals of the Champions League. Their first match at the Emirates Stadium ended 2-2 but Guardiola's team has many more chances since they scored two goals as visitors.

Arsenal will not be able to use Robin Van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, William Gallas, Alex Song, Andrei Arshavin, Aaron Ramsey and maybe even Sol Campbell.

British media has already labeled this game as "mission impossible" for the Gunners. Indeed, even when Guardiola can't use Puyol and Pique, he still has Messi, Xavi and Henry available.

Wayne Rooney to be out for three weeks

Alex Ferguson confirmed that his star footballer Wayne Rooney will rest for three weeks due to his ankle injury. Therefore, he will miss the next games against Chelsea and Bayern Munich, but he will be fit for the World Cup.

As we know, Rooney suffered the injury in the last 2-1 defeat against Bayern Munich for the Champions League.

The scene that took place in Munich suggested that Wayne could share the same destiny with David Beckham and lose their World Cup participation. Fortunately, it was not that serious.
