Nemanja Vidic awaits for a ban in the Champions League after red card in Japan

Manchester United talented defender Nemanja Vidic is going through an anxious wait to find out what punishment he will face for being sent off in the Club World Cup final that took place in Japan, a tournament that the Red team won with a very good performance.

Indeed, the Serbian received a straight red card for elbowing an opponent in the second half of United's win over Liga de Quito in Japan.

If the defender escapes with just a one-match UEFA ban, he will miss the first leg of his side's UEFA Champions League encounter with Inter Milan at the end of February.

However, if the punishment is more severe, the Serbian will be ruled out of the entire tie and possibly the first leg of the quarter-final should ManchesterUnited overcome Jose Mourinho's team,which will be able to use Adriano.
